about
Hi, I’m Lala Lemons — storyteller, social worker, and believer in the kind of magic that helps us heal.
My love for books began in the third grade, when I first opened Harry Potter and realized words could create entire worlds. I fell in love with Sailor Moon soon after — her courage, her friendships, and her connection to the moon still inspire the heart of my writing today.
Years later, I earned my LMSW to help others find light through dark times. As a survivor of domestic violence, writing became my anchor — a way to rebuild myself piece by piece. That journey gave birth to my debut young adult fantasy, where pain becomes power and lost girls learn to rise again.
My main character, Amara, is the reflection of that transformation. She’s the part of me that learned strength can be soft, that love can heal, and that even in the darkest moments, there’s still moonlight.
When I’m not writing, you’ll find me designing journals that inspire reflection, spending time with my family, or dreaming up my next story under a sky full of stars.
